Aug. 15 is celebrated as the date that marks the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution. League members will share stories of the brave women who fought for women's right to vote. The League of Women Voters is the direct descendent organization of the movement that worked to get this amendment that enfranchised women added to the constitution. It will be also an opportunity for new members to meet other current members as well as learn more about what we're doing to preserve democracy and how all members can help.
